TEN ICONIC EUROPEAN DESIGN PIECES
“Make your house as salubrious and snug as a ski lodge with a selection of our favourite pieces for the colder months.”
“The glam-rock flair of this low-slung armchair is no accident - it borrows its shape from electric guitars. Its seat is upholstered in a rich crimson velvet and rests on a polished chrome base.”

THE BRANDS TO WATCH OUT FOR THIS YEAR
“Brands that promote British craftsmanship will always have a place in our hearts - so Studio Brocky, which launched its debut furniture and lighting collection in autumn, more than earns its place on this list.
Founded by Max Brockbank to celebrate craftsmanship over mass-market noise, the studio designs its pieces in London, sources materials from across the country and works with British craftspeople who are experts in their field - metalwork, furniture, textiles and more - to create pieces bound to become heirlooms. The inaugural collection is inspired by the spirit of the 1960s, both retro and futuristic in style - we love the Vanguard Lounge Chair”

SEATING WITH REAL SWAGGER
The debut collection takes cues from 1960s silhouettes - the curves of a guitar, the swagger of glam rock, Mod fashion - filtered through a contemporary lens, says Max Brockbank, founder of new furniture house Studio Brocky. The 'Vanguard' lounge chair features velvet upholstery and has a relaxed tilt due to its tubular base. Like all of Studio Brocky's pieces, the chair was designed in London and crafted by makers around the UK.

STUDIO BROCKY SLIPS INTO THE ‘60S
“Stepping back into the ‘60s, Studio Brocky, the London-based design practice, unveils its debut furniture and lighting collection. A love letter to British craft and space-age optimism, each sculptural piece – designed and handmade in England – merges pop nostalgia with sleek modernity – velvet meets metal, glam meets grit. Designed to be touched, kept and remembered, these are heirlooms for the new age of cool.”
