Metal Casting
Cast in sand by a foundry in the North of England, working as it has for generations. Each mould is used once and broken away, leaving hollow forms which are finished by hand.
Glass Blowing
Blown by hand in a hot glass studio in London, so no two shades are the same. Around half do not survive annealing and grinding; those that do are sandblasted to a soft glow or left glossy.
Furniture Making
Frames are built by hand from solid beech and birch, then covered in Yorkshire wool usually reserved for fashion houses, kid mohair, velvet, or leather from a family run tannery in England.
