Max Brockbank
Max Brockbank grew up in the North East of England, among steelworkers, in a town built on making things. He watched that industry fade, and with it skills that had taken generations to learn.
He practiced design in New York, then led design teams in London delivering furniture and lighting collections for major international labels. He founded Studio Brocky to put that experience to work for the makers who remain.

MAKERS
For every piece, Max asks which craft in England is at risk of being lost, then finds the people keeping it alive. Some are workshops that have been going for generations. Some have only just opened their doors. What they share is a skill worth preserving.
Each design is built around what its maker does best, so every commission keeps that skill in use: molten metal poured into sand, glass gathered and shaped by hand, wool woven in Yorkshire and spooled in London.
NUMBERED EDITIONS
Every Studio Brocky piece is numbered and issued with a certificate of authenticity.
Because each piece is made to order in the materials its owner chooses, the studio records its editions by combination. The certificate records the piece, its materials and finish, its number within that combination and the year it was made. The same record is kept in the studio archive, so provenance can always be confirmed.
